Association between the number of oocytes retrieved, cancellation rates, and clinical outcomes in IVF PGT cycles with single embryo transfer — a 2,273-cycle review
O. O. Barash, K. A. Ivani, N. Huen, M. D. Hinckley, M. V. Homer, L. N. Weckstein
2,273 IVF PGT cycles (26,677 oocytes) over 2013–2019. Ongoing PR and live-birth after SET were independent of egg yield and age; older patients faced dramatically higher cancellation even with > 10 eggs retrieved (8.7 % vs 51.9 %).
- PosterASRM 2018 Annual Scientific Congress · 2018
High-accuracy machine-learning predictive model for embryo selection in IVF PGT cycles with single embryo transfers
O. O. Barash, K. A. Ivani, S. P. Willman, M. D. Hinckley, M. V. Homer, L. N. Weckstein
Ensemble of 73 stacked classifiers on 1,828 PGT cycles (9,501 embryos) reaches AUC = 0.841 for ongoing PR after SET; prior biochemical pregnancies, blastocyst morphology, and biopsy day dominate variable importance.
- PosterESHRE 2018 Annual Meeting · 2018
Model ensembling and synthetic features in PGS cycles with single embryo transfer
O. O. Barash, K. A. Ivani, S. P. Willman, N. Huen, M. V. Homer, L. N. Weckstein
1,029 IVF PGS cycles with SET; 104 stacked learners over 609 selected synthetic features reach AUC = 0.841. Prior biochemical pregnancies, embryo morphology, and biopsy day were the top three drivers.
- PosterPGDIS 2017 International Conference · 2017
Single embryo transfer as an imperative choice for patients ≥ 38 years old in autologous IVF PGS cycles
O. O. Barash, S. P. Willman, K. A. Ivani, D. S. Wachs, E. M. Rosenbluth, F. Rabara, N. Huen, L. N. Weckstein
751 autologous IVF PGS cycles. Ongoing PR after SET was age-independent; DET only modestly raised PR in ≥ 38 y.o. (80 vs 61 %) but exploded multiple-gestation rate (0.33 → 45.7 %). Cumulative LBR after 2 / 3 consecutive SETs: 83.6 % / 89.5 %.
- PosterPacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS) 2016 · 2016
Impact of embryo morphology on clinical pregnancy rates in IVF PGS cycles with single embryo transfer
O. O. Barash, K. A. Ivani, M. D. Hinckley, D. S. Wachs, S. P. Willman, E. M. Rosenbluth, F. Rabara, N. Huen, L. N. Weckstein
569 IVF PGS cycles with SET. Ongoing PR scales steeply with morphology (66.4 % good / 48.6 % fair / 42.9 % borderline-fair); age has no effect on PR once a good-quality euploid is transferred.
- PosterASRM 2016 Annual Scientific Congress · 2016
Association between high gonadotropin dosage, euploidy and pregnancy rates in PGT cycles
O. O. Barash, K. A. Ivani, S. P. Willman, L. N. Weckstein, E. M. Rosenbluth, D. S. Wachs, M. D. Hinckley
618 PGT cycles vs 1,980 IVF controls (3,165 embryos). Within matched age groups, euploidy and ongoing PR were not affected by total gonadotropin dose or number of eggs retrieved.
- PosterESHRE 2016 Annual Meeting · 2016
High gonadotropin dosage does not affect euploidy and pregnancy rates in PGT cycles
O. O. Barash, K. A. Ivani, S. P. Willman, C. F. MacKenzie, S. C. Lefko, F. B. Rabara, N. Huen, L. N. Weckstein
406 IVF PGT cycles. Euploidy was similar across three gonadotropin-dose tiers within every age group; blastulation fell with high dose in younger patients but converged in older patients.
- PosterESHRE 2015 Annual Meeting · 2015
Association between blastocyst morphology and euploidy rates in different age groups analyzed by aCGH and SNP PGD
O. O. Barash, K. A. Ivani, S. P. Willman, C. F. MacKenzie, S. C. Lefko, N. Huen, L. N. Weckstein
535 PGT cycles, 2,715 embryos. Strong correlation of euploidy with blastocyst quality in every age group; the morphology–euploidy gap narrows with advancing age. Heatmaps for day-5 and day-6 biopsy by expansion × ICM/TE quality.
- PosterPGDIS 2015 International Conference · 2015
Top-quality embryos from patients under 38 years old have euploidy rates similar to euploidy rates in donor oocyte cycles
O. O. Barash, K. A. Ivani, S. P. Willman, C. F. MacKenzie, S. C. Lefko, N. Huen, L. N. Weckstein
507 PGT cycles (SNP + aCGH), 2,589 embryos. Good-quality blastocysts from patients < 38 y.o. matched donor-oocyte euploidy (71.4 vs 75.8 %, p = 0.24).
- PosterPacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS) 2015 · 2015
Clinical pregnancy rate after single euploid embryo transfer is age-independent
O. O. Barash, K. A. Ivani, M. D. Hinckley, D. S. Wachs, S. P. Willman, C. F. MacKenzie, S. C. Lefko, L. N. Weckstein
195 IVF PGT cycles with SET. Ongoing PR in ≤ 37 y.o. and ≥ 38 y.o. was 56.8 % vs 51.8 % — not statistically different. Non-elective SETs matched elective SETs within each group.
- PosterASRM 2014 Annual Scientific Congress, Honolulu, HI · 2014
Comparison of blastocyst morphology and euploidy rates analyzed by SNP and aCGH PGS — 1003 embryos review
O. O. Barash, K. A. Ivani, S. P. Willman, N. Huen, S. C. Lefko, L. N. Weckstein
Retrospective review of 1,003 blastocysts from 173 IVF cycles (98 SNP, 75 aCGH). Higher euploidy on day 5 vs day 6, strong correlation with blastocyst quality and expansion, and equivalent euploidy estimates from SNP and aCGH platforms.

O. O. Barash, K. A. Ivani, M. R. Hinckley, D. S. Wachs, S. P. Willman, C. F. MacKenzie, S. C. Lefko, L. N. Weckstein
195 IVF PGT cycles with SET. Ongoing PR was age-independent (56.8 % vs 51.8 %); cohort had 6.59 vs 3.92 embryos available for biopsy per cycle in young vs older patients.
